n-Butyl Cyanoacrylate (Topical Medical Adhesive)
Product Name: n-Butyl Cyanoacrylate (Topical Medical Adhesive)
Chinese Name: α氰基丙烯酸正丁酯(医用胶 涂抹型)
Specification Model: 0.5ml/vial, 1.0ml/vial, 2.0ml/vial
Product Properties: This product is a colorless or blue transparent liquid. The polymerization and curing time of this product depends on the type of tissue contacted, the type of body fluid, and the amount of product used. When used correctly, medical adhesive generally begins to cure in 3 to 5 seconds and is fully cured in 15 to 60 seconds. After curing, this product can reach its maximum strength and does not have adhesive properties. At this point, other tissues, surgical gauze, and surgical instruments can all come into contact with the fully cured adhesive.
Main Performance Structure and Composition: The main ingredient of this product is α-cyanoacrylate, with trace additives; it is equipped with sterile pipettes.
Application & Usage: It can be used for embolization treatment of arteriovenous malformations in other parts of the body and gastroesophageal variceal bleeding.

It can be used for embolization treatment of arteriovenous malformations in other parts of the body and gastroesophageal variceal bleeding.
Mechanism of Action:
This product undergoes anionic polymerization under the action of anions in wound blood and tissue fluid, solidifying into a film and producing a thin elastic gel film with high tensile strength. Under electron microscopy, the gel film appears as a mesh-like structure. This gel film closely adheres to the wound surface, enabling it to bond and close the wound. The mesh-like structure of the gel film can prevent the passage of blood cells and platelets, sealing the broken small vascular network on the wound surface to effectively achieve hemostasis. When applied on the body surface, the gel film sheds along with epidermal keratinocytes after 7 to 10 days.
